Original Question:
"Okay, I admit it: I haven't taken a math class since calc as a junior in high school. So I'm drawing a blank. Help?
Say I've got 300 or so hours playing 3-6, and my hourly rate is 3.3BB. And say I've got 150 hours playing 6-12, and my hourly rate is 4.2BB. Can I calculate my overall hourly rate? How do I do that?"
OKJohnny's Response:
Hi here it is ---300x3.3 plus 150x4,2 all added togeather then divided the sum by 2 = the avg rate Stay Lucky O.K.Johnny
JG: I think what Johnny was trying to say was:
oo --| \ > $ / n --| n=0 ----------------- = AVERAGE HOURLY RATE oo --| \ > hours / n --| n=0
which, in the spirit of Weidemanism will now coopt from Johnny and hereby declare the above the Geary Hourly Rate Principle. Thanks, Johnny.
