(In response to those who claim that a move to unity under SOWPODS would cause disparity amongst those that would have to learn varying amounts of new words for equal footing)

I actually don't understand the underlying premise of the word _disparity_ . Is that to imply that we should settle on a common word source where people who already know more words will be at a disadvantage? I'll bet any amount of money that the "disparity" between what I know about OSPD and an average NA tournament player knows is much greater than the "disparity" between what they and their pond-opposite counterpart know of SOWPODS.

Saying that I know less of (x+y) than another person, so we should throw out candidates for y until it is even is about the most bass-ackwards reasoning I've ever seen.
