 The following was in response to a call for an
 Internationally Accepted Word Source.

We have an IAWS; it is called SOWPODS. The vast majority of other countries have adopted it. The real question is when will North America adopt it. Americans debating what combination of dictionaries will constitue the IAWS is hegemonic folly. Sheer willpower of other factions will not overcome a globally-ensconced word authority. The issue to be resolved now is a timetable for transition.
