Heh, I saw the Wheel of Fortune equivalent of this last night. The puzzle is something like:

The guy has been avoiding guessing any repeat letter til just now when he picked the Y. On his next spin, he gets $600 or something and already has a bunch of money. He guesses J! He then uses his free spin, hits $3500, guesses B, and ends up with somewhere between 15 and 20k for the puzzle. Wife and I argued long into the night whether he was a genius or a lucky fool.

ps this is Colleen's fave show. She learned on her own that you have to shout T at the beginning of every puzzle.
